Here is the part people miss. If your disability is not obvious, a provider may ask for information that confirms the disability and the need for the animal. Watch the wind chill, not just the air temperature. When the National Weather Service shows a dangerous wind chill, frostbite can reach exposed paws and ears in minutes, so keep outings short and use booties and a coat. Wipe road salt off the paws at the door. This is dog care guidance, not a legal rule, but it matters as much as the paperwork in this state.
